The New Player Ticket is your first step into the immersive world of Dystopia Rising Kansas. Tailored for first-time survivors, this ticket gives you everything you need to dive into a thrilling post-apocalyptic adventure filled with danger, intrigue, and camaraderie. It includes a 4 hour NPC shift where you’ll get to play a wandering merchant or a shambling undead. Don’t worry - we’ll coach you that stuff, too.
What's Included:
Your First Event Ticket: Full access to an entire weekend of story-driven gameplay.
Character Creation Assistance: Build a unique survivor with help from our experienced staff.
New Player Orientation: Learn the rules, meet other new players, and get tips for surviving the wasteland.
New Players will receive unique plot information or details that will help drive the story through the weekend, plus unique rewards for surviving their first encounter!
Our events kick off Friday at 9 PM and run ‘til Sunday at 12 PM. After closing announcements, players are expected to clean their personal campsites and pitch in for the whole camp—it’s shared labor, because many hands make light work. Expect to spend about 2 hours packing up and cleaning your shared spaces.
You won't have a player number for your first game, so you won’t be able to check into the database just yet—that’s okay! When you arrive, head to the DMV and we’ll get you oriented, assign your player number, and help you pick out your NPC shift.
Each game, you can pick one character to earn XP, based on how many DR Live events they’ve survived (Player’s Guide, p. 13). Advanced Members can spread the XP love—up to three characters can benefit per ticket, just list them when you check out.
